VIKING LANDER POINT-BY-POINT SURFACE PRESSURE DATA PAGE
Measured Sol-Averaged Surface Pressure Measured Sol-Averaged Surface Pressure Measured Sol-Averaged Surface Pressure

Above are shown the point-by-point surface pressure measurements obtained by the pressure sensor on the Viking lander during several sols of the 2245 sol mission on Mars. Pressure measurements were not obtained continuously during the mission. The time-between-measurements ranged from ~1 second (though there are few instances of such frequent sampling) to ten's of minutes. There are time intervals spanning hours or sols when no pressure measurements were obtained.
The pressure values plotted above are available within the vl_p.dat ASCII file located within the data folder which itself is within the Viking Lander data archive vl_1001. The contents of the vl_p.dat file and a description of the structure of that file are available in the vl_p.lbl file which is also located within the data folder within the data archive vl_1001. The VL2 point-by-point pressure values are also located within the same data file indicated above.
