COUVIS_0101 peer-review comments

0.	Lyle, expect some criticism of this volume, (by others).  It looks 
	like it needs a bit more work.  Below are my rudimentary comments. 
	I have not run the files through a spell checker, nor have I had 
	the ability to verify the data.  This volume will probably need 
	another cut.  Just too many little, and a few big things wrong.
	Biggest prob is the index file.  Didn't have time to fully explore
	what is wrong or how to fix.

1.	/root/

	A.	ERRATA.TXT

		1.	file missing - should be included, even if there
			is nothing to say (this file is "technically" not
			a required file, but it is becoming much more
			common to include it, even if there are not any
			errors in the current version of the volume)

	B.	AAREADME.TXT

		1.	line 3, RECORD_TYPE = FIXED_LENGTH

			file is STREAM, not FIXED_LENGTH, RECORD_BYTES = 80

		2.	line 36,
				This CD-ROM has been configured 
				to be compatible with ISO-9660

			volume failed ISO check and is not ISO compliant

			a.	two files have a missing extension

				1.	\SOFTWARE\CALIB\README;1
				2.	\SOFTWARE\READERS\README;1

			b.	590 files contain illegal character(s),
				however, some of these are data files, so
				don't really have these errors.  See report.

		3.	line 62, CATALOG.CAT ???

		4.	lines 65-82, CO_UVIS_inst.cat is not listed.  Also,
			uppercase full filename.

		5.	line 130, <cal_name>_Cal.dat does not seem to be on
			the volume in this stated location

		6.	lines 151-179, the directory structure and filenames
			described here do not seem to match actual volume

		7.	lines 183-184, mention is made of ERRATA.TXT, but
			it does not exist on the volume, either delete this
			reference to the file, or add a "dummy" stripped
			down ERRATA.TXT to the volume.  The CN can supply
			a minimal file for your use.

		8.	line 200, non ASCII character ???  Extra line-feed?


2.	\INDEX\

	A.	INDXINFO.TXT

		1.	extra line-feed at end of file? (revealed by HEX
			view of file)

	B.	INDEX.LBL

		1.	not "pretty-printed" (i.e., equal signs lined up)

		2.	extra line-feed at end of file? (revealed by HEX
			view of file)

		3.	line 4, syntax error, no commas in numbers

		4.	line 10, syntax error, no commas in numbers

		5.	line 158, DESCRIPTION = SPACECRAFT CLOCK TIME
			need quotes around value field - this isn't a very
			good description anyway

	C.	INDEX.TAB

		1.	file is in UNIX format, usually I can just dump
			into a ASCII text editor and view the table
			straightaway - not with this one - even converted
			it to DOS and was still unable to view

		2.	could not view this table with tbtool - this will
			absolutely have to be fixed - not sure if it is a
			problem with the label file or the table file

3.	\DOCUMENT\

	A.	no PDS labels for the three document files in this directory

	B.	UVIS.DOC

		1.	provide a PDS label for this file

		2.	provide a ASCII version of this file

		3.	(note: file not checked for grammar or misspellings)

	C.	space_science_review_article.pdf

		1.	uppercase filename
		
		2.	provide a detached PDS label for this file

		3.	(note: file not checked for grammar or spelling)

	D.	DATA_OBJECT_READERS_README.TXT

		1.	provide either a detached or attached PDS label
	
		2.	document confusing - needs to be re-written to be
			a little bit easier to understand

		3.	not all files described in this document are on the
			volume - or I couldn't find them - or the instructions
			were such that I didn't know where to find them

4.	\SOFTWARE\

	A.	\SOFTWARE\SOFTWAREINFO.TXT

		1.	rename file to SOFTINFO.TXT

		2.	extra line-feed at end of file

	B.	\SOFTWARE\CALIB\README

		1.	filename needs an extension (to make volume ISO
			compliant)

		2.	file needs a PDS label

	C.	\SOFTWARE\CALIB\VERSION_1\*.*

		1.	need PDS labels for these files - perhaps in this
			case, a combined detached label
			
			(all files on a volume have to have a PDS label)

	D.	\SOFTWARE\DOCUMENTATION\

		1.	empty directory - no files

	E.	\SOFTWARE\GEOMETRY\

		1.	no PDS label for the single file in this directory

	G.	\SOFTWARE\READERS\*.*

		1.	no file in this directory has a PDS label

		2.	file README does not have an extension (to make ISO
			compliant volume

		3.	README and README.TXT difficult to understand, need
			to be rewritten

5.	\CATALOG\

	A.	CATINFO.TXT

		1.	extra line-feed at end of file

	B.	CO_UVIS_inst.cat

		1.	uppercase filename

		2.	line 84, REFERENCE_KEY_ID = "TBD"
		
			TBD not acceptable, need to supply a valid value

		3.	convert to DOS format (<cr><lf>) - this needs to
			be done to all text files on this volume, most of
			them are UNIX format - all ASCII files MUST have a
			<cr><lf> pair at the end of each line - the files
			on this volume don't

	C.	WAVDS.CAT

		1.	Don't think "TBD" for DATA_SET_NAME,
			CONFIDENCE_LEVEL_NOTE, etc. is going to fly.
			
			You sure this is a peer-review volume???  It is
			more like a early-production sample volume.

	D.	SSBDS.CAT

		1.	same issue as above with "TBD"

	E.	SPECDS.CAT

		1.	ditto, TBD

		2.	DATA_SET_TERSE_DESC = "A set of spectra."
		
			a little weak

	F.	PERS.CAT

		1.	incomplete, shell PDS object

		2.	extra line-feed at end of each line

		3.	need to convert to DOS (<cr><lf> pair)

	G.	CUBEDS.CAT

		1.	ditto, TBD

		2.	line 58, illegal <tab> ASCII character

6.	\DATA\

	A.	need a DATAINFO.TXT file in this directory

	B.	note: could not verify integrity of data - could not
		execute software nor view image in any available tools
